1st Week (August 1–9) Sardine Festival (Portimão): August 4–9 —
Held at the Portimão waterfront, featuring daily concerts, street entertainment, and plenty of grilled sardines.
Ria Formosa Festival (Faro): Until August 9 Gastronomy centered on Ria Formosa seafood, plus musical performances at Largo de São Francisco. Paderne White Night (Albufeira): August 8
The village dresses in white, featuring handicrafts, snacks, and live music.

4th Week and End of the Month (August 24–31)
Castro Marim Medieval Days: August 26–30 Historical reenactments within the castle and throughout the town, featuring banquets, artisans, and medieval encampments.
FATACIL (Continuing in Lagoa): Until August 30 Ongoing daily schedule of concerts and exhibitions.
Summer Entertainment and Local Fairs: Various festivities in local parishes and the "Albufeira 35mm" open-air cinema series currently underway.

MAR ME QUER FESTIVAL 2026:
The Major Summer Festival Returns to the Portimão Waterfront From August 12 to 14, 2026, the Portimão waterfront once again hosts the Mar Me Quer Festival, one of the most anticipated events of the Algarve summer.
With doors opening at 6:00 PM, the festival combines the best of national music, vibrant sunset energy, and a strong message of sustainability and ocean preservation in a prime riverside setting.

OLHÃO SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2026:
Flavors of the Ria Formosa and Major Concerts August 10–15 The Algarve's biggest summer culinary event returns to the Jardim Pescador Olhanense.
This year, the festival runs from August 10 to 15, 2026, with doors open nightly from 7:30 PM to 1:30 AM.
In addition to the finest fresh seafood from the Ria Formosa and traditional pastries, the Main Stage will host major national and international musical acts, with headline concerts starting at 11:00 PM.

FATACIL – Fair of Crafts, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce, and Industry (Lagoa): August 21–30
The largest event of its kind south of the Tagus River, featuring a large crafts area, agricultural exhibitions, and concerts by major national artists.
FolkFaro (Faro): August 16–22 — International folklore festival featuring traditional dance and music groups from around the world.

MAR ME QUER PORTIMÃO 2026
The lineup and program announced for Mar Me Quer feature:
Maiara & Maraisa, Chico da Tina, and Sertabeijo on August 12,
Veigh, MC Kevinho, and Kiko is Hot on August 13,
and conclude with Orochi, Lon3r Johny, and Cripta on August 14.
Noise Tribe will also be performing every day in a sunset set format.

FATACIL 2026: The Algarve's Biggest Summer Event Returns to Lagoa from August 21 to 30 , the Lagoa Fair and Exhibition Park will once again become the epicenter of entertainment, culture, and gastronomy in southern Portugal as it hosts the 43rd edition of FATACIL (Lagoa's Fair for Handicrafts, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce, and Industry).
