For four days in July (the 2026 dates are scheduled for July 16-19), thousands of bikers descend upon a dedicated pine forest avenue near Faro Beach for a non-stop party.
The Atmosphere: A unique blend of camaraderie, freedom, and rock-and-roll culture. Expect a 24-hour party atmosphere where all languages are spoken through the shared rhythm of engines.

🌟 Humble Beginnings and Foundation (1970s – 1982)
The event's origins trace back to the 1970s, where a small group of friends in Faro, passionate about motorbikes, started organizing motorcycling activities like motocross and speed races. Their shared dedication led to the formal creation and legalization of the Moto Clube de Faro (MCF) on February 5, 1982.
This formal establishment marked the beginning of a dedicated effort to organize motorcycling events, cementing the club's growing reputation.
📈 Growth and International Recognition (1980s – Present)
What started as a modest local gathering quickly grew, fueled by the enthusiastic spirit of the MCF members and the incredible natural setting of the Algarve.
Becoming International: By 1991, the event's scale and organization were recognized internationally, earning it the status of an International Motorcycle Gathering by the FIM (International Motorcycling Federation)—the only one in Portugal with this distinction.
The Scale: The rally consistently attracts between 15,000 to over 30,000 bikers every year from all corners of the world, transforming the venue at Vale das Almas (near Faro Beach) into a massive, temporary biker village.
The Formula: The four-day event became famous for its unbeatable formula: 24-hour party atmosphere, dedicated camping areas, biker fairs, and, most importantly, attracting major international rock bands to its main stage. Names like Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Deep Purple, and Wolfmother have all graced the rally's stage over the years.

After more than four decades, the Faro Motorbike Rally continues to embody the true biker spirit: freedom, irreverence, and camaraderie.
